2006: GROWTH PICKING UP PACE OVER H2
2007: OUTLOOK BRIGHT
2005-06: Sales up 6.8%
Sales came to €826.6 million, some 6.8% higher than the Group's best forecast (6.4% on a
constant exchange rate basis), primarily reflecting the fact that growth has been picking up
pace over the second half of the year.
All of the Group's activities have contributed to this growth:
Sales on boats (Bénéteau, Jeanneau, CNB, Lagoon and Wauquiez), representing 88%
of the Group, are up 6.4% to €728.7 million. On Sail Boats, the Group's performance
(+5.3%) has enabled it to consolidate its position as the world market leader, with sales
of €478 million. The Power Boat business is up 9.2% to €229 million, confirming the
Group's progress on the European market.
Sales on other activities (Microcar and O’Hara) are up 9.9% to €97.9 million.
With consolidated sales coming in ahead of forecasts, this justifies the Group's confidence
that it will generate at least €67 million in net income for the year.
2006-07: Focused on creation and innovation
In light of the fall’s first boat-shows, the favorable trend seen over the second half of last year
has continued. The Group looks set to benefit most from this, thanks to its efforts on
innovation and creation, notably reflected in:
The world-first launch of a hybrid propulsion catamaran at Lagoon
The development of the fourth generation of Océanis and the launch of the new First
50 at Bénéteau
European recognition for the Prestige range at Jeanneau
